Texas Kannada Short Film Festival
The short film festival is called “Texas Kannada Short-Film Festival,” one of our flagship programs/events that aims to foster community and encourage local talent to showcase their creativity and storytelling abilities. It is a platform for aspiring filmmakers, students, and amateur enthusiasts to present their work and gain recognition for their efforts.
The idea behind organizing the short film festival is rooted in the belief that everyone possesses unique talents and perspectives. The festival seeks to empower the community to share their stories, thoughts, and artistic expressions with a broader audience by providing a dedicated space for short films.
Parichaya – American Kannadigaru
The podcast/webinar goes by the name of “Parichaya – American Kannadigaru” which is one of our flagship programs and aims to introduce a local person from the American Kannada community to a broader audience, shedding light on their background, experiences, and contributions. This initiative is driven by the desire to celebrate and connect with the diverse Kannada-speaking diaspora in the United States.
The Kannada community in the United States is a vibrant and diverse group of individuals who have migrated from Karnataka or have Kannada roots. They bring with them their unique stories, achievements, and cultural heritage. However, due to geographical dispersion, it can be challenging for members of the community to connect with each other and share their experiences.
